Our Privacy Rules
Who we are
We are homeowners or renters in PH Tucan Country Club and Resort, PH Mahogany, or PH Forest Towers. There is no formal association with Tucan Golf or with Tucan Real Estate Holding Inc. We have registered our own Aviso de Operación with the Ministerio de Comercio e Industrias in Panama. This web site is an informal platform for the exchange of ideas, comments, pictures, announcements, and other information that will make our life at Tucan even better. We love Tucan, it is a fantastic place to live, and it is full of great people. This web site provides us a convenient location to share among ourselves. Everybody is invited to contribute freely. Our website address is: https://propietariosphtucan.com.
In order to prevent spam, and in order to keep this web site to the intended audience, we require that the access be accredited with a log-in and password. There is no open, anonymous access to this site.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When contributors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s log-in name, the IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection and prevention.
If you upload images to the website, they will be available to other users in the format you uploaded them. If you are concerned about the privacy of the location where the picture was taken, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Many of the pictures taken with a cell phone have the location data embedded in the picture. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Your contact information may be used to create a directory of Homeowners, for access by other homeowners. This is a convenience item. You can control whether your contact information is listed in the directory or not.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies stores in your web browser. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year in your browser, unless you delete them sooner. You have complete control of the cookies stored in your browser, and can delete them at any time.
When you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

However, if you correct a translation, to improve it, then we record the change you made, your login identity, and your IP address, on a timestamped log, so we can track who made the changes to the translations.

Who we share your data with
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. This allows for a more dynamic site, without the bottleneck caused by a moderator.
When you register as a user of this web site, we store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
